Hosni Mubarak realizing that yesterday's statements basically put an even bigger target on his back stepped down from power today.
Margaret Mead once said "A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has," and you know what, Margaret? Sometimes 85 million people can change things too.
Hopefully, the people of Egypt will use this time to elect someone they like and someone with democratic term limits so they can do what we do here...elect them in and throw them out on a consistent basis. We're not sure that's how things can really get done or change anything anyway but it sure beats the alternative.
