TDF: THOR HAMMERS AWAY!

Big Thor Wins the Stage...
and look at all the pretty colors

Big Thor Hushovd wins Stage 13 in what has to be one of the most dramatic stages of the Tour's history.

So much for "not doing much in the mountains". Thor, World Champ, PROVES, that he is out for blood this year and pretty much put on a "clinic" today.

From Le Tour.fr
"The world champion can do it all: he can time trial (to victory as he did in the world championships as an under-23 rider and again in the prologue at the start of the 2006 Tour), he can sprint (as two green jerseys in the Tour proves), he can win stages on the pavé (as he did in 2010) and he can climb the Aubisque and beat the peloton home with panache. This is his ninth stage victory (including the prologue) in the Tour de France."

"This is the best moment ever in my career," Hushovd said.

"Winning alone, after going over the Col d'Aubisque in the rainbow jersey, is incredible.

"It is the craziest thing I've ever done."

The win was Hushovd's ninth at the Tour de France and continues a stunning race for the veteran sprinter. He is being praised for cycling the strongest he ever has. So far this year is a glory run for the giant Norwegian. GO THOR!

The Stage ended in the historic holy town of Lourdes.

And without a prayer, Andreas Klöden of Team Radioshack, is out from injuries, although he really tried hard to keep up today before abandoning.
