The real life inspiration for Sybil Fawlty has died, aged 95. Fawlty Towers, undoubtedly the greatest Britcom of all time, was the brainchild of actor and Monty Pythonian John Cleese.

Cleese created his hotel themed comedy after staying at the Gleneagles hotel owned by Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair. Mr. Sinclair, probably a great guy, made quite the impression of a not so much bumbling owner but a harassed one, one that couldn't be bothered with guests.

His wife, Beatrice, didn't like the way her husband was portrayed in the series and took fault (pun intended) with the whole affair. It's okay Beatrice. Your husband may have been fodder, but he was the fodder for one of TV's greatest characters EVER, Basil Fawlty.

Gear up, people! Survivor kicks off it's 21'st season tonight!

It's another round of Young vs. Old. Look for Jimmy Johnson to stand out tonight as they concentrate more on the older tribe in this first episode.

Jeff Probst also gave an interview stating that the first challenge was foiled by the contestants as the production staff had planned for it to go an entirely different way from how it actually got played.

Also, look for the first ever Immunity Medallion to be played this season. No more hiding immunity idols in trees and under rocks with lame clues. Russell Hantz, world's greatest Survivor, ended that trend after he found every single one of them in the seasons he played.

We LOVE Rafa. We miss his teenage mutant ninja turtle look though and would love for him to get it back. At least he is healthy again. And for the record...Roger was the world's best player until Nadal came to play and became the world's biggest monkey wrench to Roger's career. Ultimately, Roger could've/would've dominated the sport MORE than he already has had our little Spanish Bull not been born - this is one of the greatest sports rivalries of all time. With Rafa in the court, Roger better fear. (Note: The Andy's - Murray and Roddick are totally screwed, not to mention Djokovic. The Rafa/Roger thing is way to intense for anyone to even compete with them at this point.)

Animals Rule

Bawang, a female gorilla, got to play a Nintendo game the other day when a visitor to the San Francisco Zoo accidentally dropped it in to the enclosure. To everyones delight Bawang picked up the contraption and was fascinated by the screen display.

Her equally gorgeous adopted son, Hansai, waits to play his turn but Mommy isn't having it.

No word on whether or not zoo keepers let her keep the game. We hope they did. These intelligent creatures need stimulation and what better than an handheld video game. She'll probably get a better score than the stupid kid who dropped it!

It was followed 3 days later by another atomic bomb called "Fat Man" on the city of Nagasaki.

Has Lance Armstrong Been Lying All These Years?

"Say I doped again...Go ahead. I double dog dare you!"

The witch hunt known as the Federal USDA probe into Lance Armstrong doping accusations is Living Strong. Not only will it not go away, it's going ahead full steam.

Armstrong's attorney's accuse the USDA of offering a "sweetheart deal" to any and all cyclists who will testify that Lance is a doper.

So far, there have been bites! Rumor has it that at least one person has come forth and spilled his guts. He alleges that not only did Lance take illegal performance enhancing drugs, but that he encouraged the entire Postal Team to dope as well and that the funds raised from selling racing bikes went solely into this "doping regimen" program.

Hearsay and rumor so far, but how long or how in general is Lance going to defend himself?

Well, to start he has about 15 years worth of doping tests that ALL - EVERY SINGLE ONE - CAME BACK CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. Negative for testosterone, EPO, HGH..., you name the initials and the tests can PROVE that Lance had a clean system.

So? Well, disgraced and pariah cyclist Floyd Landis alleges that the athletes literally inject themselves with clean blood moments before doping agents take their sample.

Really? Ewww...

If that is true, then cycling has more to worry about than doping.

Matthew Shepard - We Remember

Today's overturn of the horrendous Prop 8 that banned same sex marriages reminds us once again of Matthew Shepard. Elton John said once that he kept a picture of Matthew to remind himself every day that for the grace of God goes thee. Elton knew that if he had been a gay man in Wyoming that year, he too might also be dead.

Matthew died as a result of vicious anti-gay hate mongering. He was brutally beaten and left for dead in a Wyoming field tied to a fence post. This was a modern day lynching.

Matthew's legacy is one of hope. We hope that one day, young men like Matthew aren't beaten, tortured and killed for just being what they are.

We encountered this in our youth in high school and just couldn't imagine where the hatred, so thick you could cut it with a knife, was coming from. We told our male homophobic "friends" at the time this bit of wisdom we thought up on the spot: "You should go to bed every night and pray to God that he turns most men gay so that you'd have a shot at getting some women to actually have sex with you."

The look we got was priceless and we never heard another word again.

If you are a religious person who feels that being gay isn't just evil, but the perfect way to lose your soul to Satan, good for you. But keep it to yourself, your web blog, your little world. Do not go forth and try to purposefully ruin other people's lives because you don't believe in it.

We are vegetarian. We learned A LONG TIME AGO, that you can't tell people to go vegetarian. It's a personal choice that people have to make for themselves. Well, a gay person doesn't have a choice. God made them that way. And we don't think He makes mistakes.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!

And kudos to Judge Walker, a judge who finally used common sense: "The evidence shows conclusively that moral and religious views form the only basis for a belief that same-sex couples are different from opposite-sex couples." He continued by saying that the freedom to marry "is recognized as a fundamental right protected by the due process clause of the U.S. Constitution."

"Because California has no interest in discriminating against gay men and lesbians, and because Proposition 8 prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriage on an equal basis, the court concludes that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional," Walker, in San Francisco, said in his ruling. "

That's right. Love is love, discrimination is discrimination and discrimination is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

It's hard for us to understand how a country founded on religious freedom could discriminate so harshly against people who only want to be married. Gay people ARE NOT SECOND CLASS CITIZENS.

Drop the M word and call it a Union then, but just let the people themselves decide who they want to be with for the rest of their lives.

As Michelle Rodriguez said, and yes, we are quoting Michelle Rodriguez, this is "one step for democracy, one giant leap towards humanity.”

The "Mosque" at "Ground Zero"

Something about this entire debate makes our blood boil. We just don't have any patience for it. We have been getting email after email from irate people who want to bitch about this "mosque" and get everyone all riled up again about 9/11 and how hurt we were.

We know this. Just thinking of that day, makes us want to cry, because it was so devastating in every way, but you know what?

The so-called "mosque" is a building. It's not an Islamic attack force moving in to plot to kill and destroy all Americans!

As far as we know almost every hospital in the country has a prayer interdenominational chapel. Does that mean that hospitals are churches? That's the perfect analogy for every time people refer to this building as a "mosque." It's a building with a prayer room in it, which does not a mosque make.

Where is it exactly? On Ground Zero? At Ground Zero? Near Ground Zero? NO. It's 2 blocks away and can't even be seen from Ground Zero.

This argument is fucking ridiculous. There are so many things wrong with this country right now and all people can think to do is protest a fucking building in New York City. A building, by the way, which would put Americans to work building it and then staffing it.

This country was founded on religious tolerance and we swear we can't find any tolerance anywhere. So a bunch of Islamic terrorists bombed us and "tried to make us pay" for our draconian foreign policies. SO WHAT??!! Do you have ANY IDEA AT ALL how many bombs we drop on foreign soil a year? Do you have any idea how many children are killed by us, The good 'ole USA, annually? Get off your high horse, your pedestal and wake the fuck up. What are you going to do - hate Islam forever? All 600 million of them because 12 of them killed 3,000 almost 10years ago?

News flash - we kill over 3,000 Iraqi civilians - men, women and children - A MONTH. EVERY 30 goddamn days like clockwork.

We don't really want to make light of what happened on 9/11 but we have to. New York is the freedom capital of the world. Anything goes in NY. So if NY votes to tear down a building to put up a $200 million new building, owned by Islams, that sounds like NY's problem. Not America's.
