Silence of the Lambs!

We're cold!
This is terrible!

New Zealand is reporting the deaths of "hundreds of thousands" of lambs due to the worst spring blizzards in memory. There has been a succession of 6 blizzards and the poor baby animals can't take it. The people can hardly take it.

At this point, over half of a million lambs have died as well as a number of adults, sending milk production plummeting. It's "lambing season" and they can't be moved at this time. Farmers across the country are devastated saying "It couldn't have come at a worse time."

The farmers are scared to death for the remaining lambs and the pregnant ewes yet to give birth. Everyone is praying for a quick warm up and "melt."

St. Francis! Help!
