Susan's new album, The Gift, went #1 in the U.K AND the U.S, following her debut album "I Dreamed a Dream" that also went #1 in the U.K and the U.S. Two consecutive #1 albums in the SAME year! She is the first female in history to have achieved this. Madonna, Mariah Carey or Lady Gaga have never done this or even come close.
"The only other acts to have achieved this in the history of music were The Monkees in 1967 and the Beatles in 1969, her record company said."
This is groundbreaking in SO MANY WAYS! The fact that no one has done this in 40 years is Amazing. The fact that she is the first woman in HISTORY to do so is Amazing. The fact that she is an untrained, non-professional is Amazing. She is Amazing.

We love her story the most because she is talent. She is not some pre-packaged Britney Spears forced into our consciousness. A true rag to riches, pauper to princess story. We also love that she is 49 years old and not 16. Yes, that is a big F-U to Justin Bieber.
