David Beckham is out of World Cup after tearing his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's AC Milan vs. Chievo Verona game. It is believed he will play again, although not for a long time, including missing next years season with the LA Galaxy. Wowsa!News Link

Gutted when I heard Becks was out. He's always been a great player and a great face in promoting (proper) football. I wish him all the best in his recovery and hope to see him out on the pitch again.
