King of Clay

Rafa "The Bull" Nadal, taking the traditional bite from his trophy.

Rafael Nadal, clay court King, won his fifth French Open today. He kicked ass defeated, Robin Soderling in an easy 3. Soderling, not a weakling and a hell of a player, fought a hard 5 set match to get to the finals and just looked tired. Rafa, in the full sun and heat of a French Open final, is not one to report to tired - especially in a grudge match. After beating him in last years final, this year Soderling didn't stand a chance.

Poor Rafa cried like a baby after the win. He was probably thinking how hard he fought to rehab his knee and beat up body (at only 24!) to come back and win another major title.

He is one French away from tying the Great Bjorn Borg. There's NO doubt, absolutely NO DOUBT if he can keep his knee in shape, that he can not only tie that record but blow it away. He is the King of Clay.

Rafa regains his World Number One title with today's win and it becomes his 7th Grand Slam Title overall.
