Happy Birthday Angus Young

Angus Young turns 56 today...and he is still rockin' the old school boy uniform!

AC/DC is one of the most influencial, successful and famous bands in history and Angus is unarguably one of the best guitarists ever.

Contrary to the notion that he is Australian, he was born in Scotland and moved to Australia as a kid, but has lived there ever since. One of the first things he and his brother, Malcolm, did when they "got money" was to get their teeth fixed! Awesome!

Also, HE FOUNDED THE BAND! In 1973, with Malcolm. ANGUS YOUNG IS AC/DC! In 2006, they were called "one of the most important and influential rock bands in history".

DUH, WINNING!

We can't tell you how much we love this band or all of its songs. In fact, one of our VERY FIRST ALBUMS was Back in Black that WE WON at Summer Camp, back in the day! How much do you love Highway to Hell, Whole Lot of Rosie, For Those About to Rock!, You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells! We could go ON AND ON.

TURN IT UP AND ROCK OUT!

Here's AC/DC: Thunderstruck
Watch Angus strut his stuff! He's so friggin' awesome! Happy Birthday Dude!

David Ferrer Lobs Ball at Crying Baby

Okay, first, of all the things to bring to a tennis match...where you are suppposed to be QUIET (during play only - raucous the rest of the time)...a toddler? A crying toddler?

But to get mad at said baby and LOB A TENNIS BALL AT IT?

Faux Pas, Mr. Ferrer! Faux pas!

"Tennis Quarterfinalist David Ferrer wasn't too happy after a baby was crying at the Sony Ericsson Open.

Trailing in his match and annoyed by the crying, Ferrer directed a forehand lob toward the infant after losing his serve midway through the second set Wednesday. The ball didn't come close to the baby when it landed in the stands, but the crying stopped."

What an idiot!

THE PHARAOH RETURNS!

I'M BACK, MOTHERFUCKERS!

Yes, folks, less than ONE MONTH after storming off the job, Dr. Zahi Hawass makes his triumphant return to the antiquities that cannot live without him.

"Mr. Hawass, who has never been accused of being humble, said on Wednesday that he did not ask to come back, but that there was no one else who could do the job. I cannot live without antiquities, and antiquities cannot live without me,” he said."

Are we surprised? Hell NO!

Storehouse after storehouse has been looted since the uprising with the guards running for their lives from armed intruders and thieves.

"Armed groups raided several warehouses around the country, including one in the Egyptian Museum, amid security vacuum caused by the withdrawal of policemen from the streets following bloody clashes with protesters during the beginning of the Egyptian revolution. Egyptian Authorities last week reported that at least 800 artifacts were stolen by armed groups from a warehouse east of Cairo."

Zahi has one hell of a mess to clean up. But we are confident he can do it. That's what Pharaoh's are for!

PS: Remember, the 3rd part of our Great Pyramid series is this coming Monday. Ah, the sweet joy of having The Pharaoh back just in time to bash him. WINNING!

Soccer Ticket? Check. Rally Towel? Check. Dead Body? Check.

And in really awesome soccer news...

"Friends brought a coffin with the body of a 17-year-old boy into a soccer match Sunday between Cucuta Deportivo and Envigado, according to Colombia Reports. Christopher Jacome, a big fan of Cucuta, was gunned down Saturday in a local park while playing soccer, according to the paper.

Friends of Jacome took his body from the funeral home after the wake and brought it into General Santander Stadium for the game.

"They don't let in the fanatics, but yes, a cadaver. This is the only part of the world where this has happened," Julio Rivera, medic for Cucuta, told the paper. Stadium officials say they
will hold a meeting to find out who allowed the dead body to be brought to the match."

Now that's loyalty! Their friend is going to be buried forever, so why not bring him to one last game?

Part 2 - The Great Pyramid Controversy: The Big Deal

The Omni Report presents our 3-part series on:

The Controversy and Mystery of the Great Pyramid of the Giza Plateau, Cairo, Egypt; Specifically Why Dr. Zahi Hawass Sucks and How Rudolph Gatenbrink Got Shafted.

The Great Pyramid Controversy Part 2: The Big Deal

"The Machine" Even though the driver is no longer at the wheel, the Giza Necropolis is still a machine that was designed to provoke questions. 5,000 years and look at its power. It involves you whether you like it or not. It forces you in to a process of thinking…forces you to learn. The minute you ask a question about it, you’ve asked a question about engineering, a question about geometry, a question about astronomy. So it forces you to learn engineering, geometry and astronomy, and gradually you realize how sophisticated it is, how incredibly clever and skillful and knowledgeable its builders must have been, which forces you to ask questions about mankind, about human history eventually about yourself, too. They succeeded in creating a force that is functional in itself, provided you understand it, and that force is the questions it challenges you to ask. This is the power of the Giza Plateau. Built at least 10,450 B.C. A message for us, the future. *1

~Robert Bauval
Robert Bauval is the mastermind engineer behind the “Orion Correlation Theory” which states that the 3 Giza pyramids are a representation of the 3 stars comprising the belt of the constellation Orion.

The Great Pyramid at Giza. It’s just a pile of rocks. What’s the big deal? Okay, maybe you are willing to concede it’s A LOT of rocks - but still, so? What makes The Great Pyramid the greatest engineering marvel and virtual miracle on the planet? Let's consider both the The Outer Pyramid and The Inner Pyramid. Here are a few mind-boggling engineering specifications in the construction of the “outer” Pyramid:

  • It is the world’s largest pyramid with a 13-acre footprint

  • It weighs 6 million tons and is 480 feet tall

  • There are 202 steps to the summit

  • Each face (side) of the pyramid is 5 and a half acres

  • It contains over 2 and a half million granite and limestone blocks

  • Each weighs an average 2 tons

  • It is aligned perfectly to the cardinal directions

  • It incorporates the geometry of PI - specifically 2PI

  • It is a scale of an exact mathematical replica for the dimensions of the planet Earth

  • It’s polished out limestone casing was comprised of slabs 8-feet thick, covered 22 acres and their combined weight together was over 16 tons

  • These limestone slabs were fitted together so perfectly that not a razor blade could separate them and it was said they looked like a single slab

  • The three pyramids of Giza form a Pythagorean triangle with side propportions of 3:4:5

  • The Great Pyramid is located exactly in the center of Earth’s landmass. THE EXACT CENTER

Here are a few mind-boggling engineering specifications in the construction of the “inner” Pyramid:

  • It contains a complex system of inner passages, tunnels, galleries and chambers

  • The concrete cement that was used to bind the stones is technologically beyond what we use today and defies modern analysis

  • It is the only pyramid in Egypt with both descending and ascending passages

  • Each one of the 100 red granite blocks comprising The King’s Chamber weigh 70 tons. EACH. ONE. OF. THE. ONE. HUNDRED. RED. GRANITE. BLOCKS. WEIGH. SEVENTY. TONS. Think about it.

  • You can see the perfect red granite blocks here

  • There is clear evidence of machining *2

  • The joints between blocks are so tight you cannot insert a razor blade. We do not even attempt anything like this in construction today

  • The King’s Chamber incorporates the mathematical law The Golden Ratio (phi)

  • There is 8.5 million cubic square feet of space in the inner space of the pyramid. This is enough for over 3,000 rooms the size of the King’s Chamber or 30 full-size Empire State Buildings

  • The incorporation of the so-called “air-shafts” or "soul-shafts". There are 4 known shafts, 8x8 inches square that rise through the pyramid and through solid blocks that were carefully fit into place to align them. The King's Chamber shafts lead the constellations Orion and Sirius.

    • The Queen's Chamber shafts lead to the archaeological Roswell known as "The Gatenbrink Affair"

The "air shafts" in The Great Pyramid. 2 emanate from The King's Chamber (above) and 2 from The Queen's Chamber.

The above statistics are great, but what does it all mean?

What is mind-blowing or special about using 70 ton (King's Chamber)or 200 ton (Pyramid "body") blocks?

Well, today moving anything that weighs over 50 tons requires a specialized crane. Modern industrial "counter boom” cranes max out at 200 tons. Moving anything over 200 tons does not happen. Anything over 50 barely happens. And that is in today's modern society with all of our engineering "know how".

How does The Great Pyramid incorporate the mathematical law of 2PI?

The height of the pyramid bears the same relationship to it’s base perimeter as does the circumference of a circle to it’s radius.

How is The Great Pyramid a scale model of the Earth?

The scale of our planet is 1:43,200. If you take the height of the pyramid and multiply by 43,200 you get the polar radius measurement of Earth (+/- 11 miles). If you take the perimeter of the base and multiply by 43,200 you get the equatorial circumference of the Earth (+/- 170 miles).

Why are the North-South-East-West cardinal alignments such a big deal?

The exact precision of the cardinal points is as of “atomic clock” accuracy. This isn't achieved lightly or easily, nor is it anything we would even try to do today. In modern 2011 terms, to align something True North, you'd need "a laser theodolite, an ordinance survey map accurate to 10 meters, and a highly qualified team of professionals that includes a setting-out engineer, an astronomer, a surveyor, several master masons and a week or so to make sure the position you are aiming for has been achieved*"

Indeed The Great Pyramid is accurate to within a little over 3 arc minutes to True North.

It. Is. The. Most. Accurately. Aligned. Building. On. Earth.

And this was achieved at a minimum of over 4,500 years ago, and probably more likely around 10,000 B.C. Modern engineers when describing The Great Pyramid reiterate that “…the sheer size and mass (of TGP) are not it’s most impressive characteristics. More astounding by far is the incredible hi-tech precision built into every aspect of it’s design." Yes, the Pyramid has hi-tech precision written all over it and into it. It oozes out of every stone block.

Also, the base is a perfect square. The pyramid is “locked onto” the cardinal points and is located on top of a natural mound that is 2 stories high. It is this mound that lends to the Pyramid it's superior stability.

The inner workings - the interior chambers and corridors - of The Great Pyramid are an engineering feat of unparalleled difficulty and are the height and epitome of architectural achievement.

The stone cutting techniques used to create these galleries and rooms are unknown to us. They are constructed on a gargantuan scale and are much more advanced than anything we could construct today.

The Grand Gallery is described as:
"The most incredible construction achievement in human history.
      *3

The Grand Gallery consists of polished limestone walls - monoliths of stone - that make up the lower portion of the wall that are made up of polished granite topped with granite beams with scarcely a joint to be seen. It's seamless construction. The Gallery ends in a tunnel that leads to The King's Chamber. The King's Chamber, so-called, because of the humongous black granite "sarcophagus" located there, is really too big to be called a chamber. It is made from polished smooth red granite hewn from quarries in far-away Aswan. The sarcopohagus is too big too have been hauled in. The room was clearly built around this granite monolith, that is not a sarcophagus and shows clearly that it had to have been machined. It's joints are a perfect 90 degree angle. The air shafts from the room reach outside and can provide minimal ventilation.

The "relieving chambers" are a series of five slabs over top of The King's Chamber. Their combined weight is 400 tons and the top slab is has a bevelled pointed roof. They do not relive much weight in the pyramid, engineering wise, so their very name is a misnomer. What are they really for?

The Queen's Chamber has a beveled wall that defies explanation. It is a beautiful niche. What was it used for? What was anything in this place used for? Not a tomb by any means!

The Niche of the Queen's Chamber

The Underground Chamber is a creepy cave that doesn't incorporate the polished limestone or granite walls that The Pyramid is made of. It's referred to by Egyptologists as an "unfinished burial vault". What they never mention is how fucking far underground this thing is. You have to take a descending passage far below The Pyramid to reach it.

      Look at this picture:

You have to keep in mind that when we see the The Great Pyramid today, it is the same as looking at this rusted out car. We know what this car used to look like when it was shiny and new. Well, The Great Pyramid is weathered, dilapidated, stripped of all it’s glory and absolutely not the way it looked in antiquity. We have to imagine it shiny and new.

The Great Pyramid is not just a pile of rocks. Far from it. It is an archaeological, architectural and engineering mystery of epic proportions.

It cannot be overstated how advanced it is. It is a complicated structure of massive heavy granite and limestone made to stand for eternity. It has rooms and passages made from differing sizes rock that are engineeringly impossible to replicate today.

      Soccer News

The Men's US team played a friendly against Argentina last night that led to a 1-1 tie. Overall, the US team played very well against an Argentinian monster with Lional Messi scoring 1 and coming close to scoring another 3 or 4 himself alone.

The domestic MLS season has started with all US teams in their second week. The Philadelphia Union are 2-0 having won both matches they played 1-0. So far the new goalie, phenom Faryd Mondragon, is working out VERY WELL. And of course, Fan Favorite Sebastien Le Toux, had a hand (or in this case foot!) in BOTH goals with assists. Le Toux is easily the best player in the entire league.

The Union take on the L.A. Galaxy next week in LA so look for Le Toux and Company to kick David Beckham's and Landon Donvan's asses in.

      The Triangle Factory Fire

100 years ago today, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory caught fire, killing over 140 young women. Most of the victims were recent immigrant Jewish and Italian women aged sixteen to twenty-three. It is one of the America's landmark disasters. And we should remember those who died.

It happened in New York's famed garment district, which in those days employed women and girls as young as 10 years old...or even younger...for 9 to 12 hour, 6 day shifts.

"On Saturday, March 25, 1911, at 4:45 p.m., near quitting time, a fire broke out on the Triangle Waist Company building's eighth and ninth floors. Factory foremen had locked the exit doors to keep union organizers out and keep workers from taking breaks and stealing scraps of fabric. Other doors only opened inward and were blocked by the stampede of workers struggling to escape. The ladders of the city's fire engines could not reach high enough to save the employees.

As a result, workers burned or jumped to their deaths.

On April 6, 30,000 New Yorkers marched -- and hundreds of thousands more lined the march's route -- to memorialize the fire's victims."

      From WIKI
Louis Waldman, later a New York Socialist state assemblyman, described the scene years later:

"A few blocks away, the Asch Building at the corner of Washington Place and Greene Street was ablaze. When we arrived at the scene, the police had thrown up a cordon around the area and the firemen were helplessly fighting the blaze. The eighth, ninth, and tenth stories of the building were now an enormous roaring cornice of flames.

Word had spread through the East Side, by some magic of terror, that the plant of the Triangle Waist Company was on fire and that several hundred workers were trapped. Horrified and helpless, the crowds — I among them — looked up at the burning building, saw girl after girl appear at the reddened windows, pause for a terrified moment, and then leap to the pavement below, to land as mangled, bloody pulp. This went on for what seemed a ghastly eternity. Occasionally a girl who had hesitated too long was licked by pursuing flames and, screaming with clothing and hair ablaze, plunged like a living torch to the street. Life nets held by the firemen were torn by the impact of the falling bodies.

The emotions of the crowd were indescribable. Women were hysterical, scores fainted; men wept as, in paroxysms of frenzy, they hurled themselves against the police lines."

It was outrageous and dangerous conditions that led to these tragic deaths. The overworked girls were kept in ridiculously cramped spaces and in those days there was no OSHA to secure better and safer environments.

New Yorkers and indeed all of America were saddened and horrified by what happened. Those girls did not die in vain though because as a result of that tragedy, people of all walks rallied for change in workplaces everywhere.

"The fire led to legislation requiring improved factory safety standards and helped spur the growth of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, which fought for better working conditions for sweatshop workers. As a result of the fire, the American Society of Safety Engineers was founded in New York City on October 14, 1911."

      Elizabeth Taylor: New Secrets Revelaed

From the Daily Beast article by Kevin Sessums

Kessums reveals today a secret the Elizabeth told him 14 years ago that she didn't want told until after her death. He sure didn't wait long. He's probably been chomping this bit for years to get it off his chest.

Taylor revealed to him during a 1997 interview at her Bel Air home, that during the filming of the iconic classic movie Giant, she and Jimmy Dean would "talk and talk" for hours every night and that he told her he had been "molested by his minister" and that it "haunted him the rest of his life."

" "I loved Jimmy. I'm going to tell you something, but it's off the record until I die. OK? When Jimmy was 11 and his mother passed away, he began to be molested by his minister. I think that haunted him the rest of his life. In fact, I know it did. We talked about it a lot. During Giant we'd stay up nights and talk and talk, and that was one of the things he confessed to me." "

Also, revealed by fashion icon Valentino this tidbit about "Saint Elizabeth" (quotations are ours):

"I remember when she sold all her jewels in early '80s to build 15 hospitals in Africa... and how much money she raised for AmFAR that helped fund the research that is one of the main reasons today people infected with HIV can live normally.

"In 1991 we created together a charity for children with AIDS in Italy, and I personally saw her sitting on the floor next to terminally sick people, holding their hands and comforting them."

That is really awesome. Did you get all of that?

SHE SOLD ALL HER JEWELS TO
      BUILD 15 HOSPITALS IN AFRICA.

It doesn't get any better than that. Plus, she sat with dying people and held their hands. She was a spectacular person.

Taylor was a founding AmFAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) member in 1985.

The organization re-issued a statement that they created for one of her birthdays a few years ago:

"All your life you were known for your beauty. During the past two decades or so, we gradually came to take that beauty for granted, but we were also constantly arrested by your other qualities. We were staggered by your grace under fire. We were inspired by your outspoken honesty in the face of the disbelievers. And we were comforted by your deep compassion for all those living with HIV/AIDS." amfAR will remember and honor Elizabeth Taylor for keeping the faith and for inspiring us year after year to keep going until this devastating epidemic is conquered."

On the business side, her perfume, White Diamonds, was/is the highest selling fragrance OF ALL TIME and in the 20+ years since it was released, has made over $60 Million. Amazing!

Two New German Polar Bear Babies

Exactly four years almost to the day after the Berlin Zoo debuted little Knut, who we sadly lost this week, the Nuremberg Zoo proudly presents little Gregor and Aleu. The four month old, 45 pound, twins made their public debut yesterday to record crowds.

Gregor and Aleu with Mom, Vera

Visitors were as delighted to see these two little guys as they were years ago to see little Knut. The two certainly made an impression running around and swimming with their mom for almost four hours.

"Keeper Petra Fritz said: 'Vera is taking to motherhood very well and the cubs are in excellent health. They are are just like her - bold and adventurous. They are just so sweet.'"

Although they can't really replace Knut, it is nice to see them. They look happy. Knut too had a brother that died a few months after birth, so maybe these two will a have a happier time or easier go of it than Knut, since they have each other for company. Plus, their mom didn't reject them, unlike poor Knut, so these two have already got so much more on their side. Little Knut was so alone.

Let's hope for the best for these two little guys!

      Buy American

This is from the great blog: Foodie Scoop

This has been on everyone's minds lately.
ABC Nightly News has been doing an ongoing story: Made in America

      BUY AMERICAN !!!
      Check the Can or Box

I received this email from a friend. It made perfect sense to me so, I am passing on this information.

Check the can or box to be sure the item you are buying is from America and, not China.

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear or is it that we just do not think? The Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets.

Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.

Well, duh.. Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA !!

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use real ones and benefit some American farmer. Easter is just an example. The point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go ahead and assume control on your own.

THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor... Fast!!

The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

The solution? Let's give them fair warning and send our own message. Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are planning on implementing this on March 4th and continue it until April 4th That is only one month of trading losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8% of their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.

Remember March 4th to April 4th

START NOW!! (Even though this has reached some of us past the start date.)

Send this to everybody you know. Let's show them that we are Americans and NOBODY can take us for granted.

If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our lives, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!

And, continue the boycott after April 4th because we don't need toxic and, polluted items on our shelves.

      Pass it on, America

Calling Vladimir Putin! Calling Vladimir Putin! - UPDATED

      We know Vlad loves animals!
      HE MUST HELP!

Excuse me, has anyone seen Vladimir Putin? We need his help immediately.

There is horrific and shocking news coming out of the Kiev Zoo today and we need him to go there and set things right!

"KIEV, Ukraine - An Indian elephant called Boy, the pride of the Kiev Zoo, collapsed and died in his enclosure. Around the same time, Maya the camel succumbed to a digestive illness and Theo the zebra died after crashing into a metal fence.

      And there's more, much more.

The animals just keep on dying at the Kiev Zoo, a place one activist has likened to a concentration camp for those with fur and feathers. Animal welfare groups say dozens if not hundreds of animals have died at the zoo in recent years due to malnutrition, a lack of medical care and mistreatment -- and some suspect that corruption is at the heart of the problem.

Tamara Tarnavska of the Kiev-based SOS animal rights group believes the zoo must be closed to protect its animals from further abuse.

"The zoo is in such a condition that it's no longer a zoo, it's a concentration camp," Tarnavska said. "When I look those animals in the eyes, I am ashamed to be a human being.""

This simply isn't acceptable. Kiev is supposed to represent civilized Russia and have higher standards than this. These fucks that run the place think they can do whatever the hell they want and they need to be corrected. The only person we can think of that could do anything is Vladimir Putin...a man that strikes fear into the hearts of animal abusers (and everyone else) everywhere.

      Read the Appalling Story HERE

      We're not kidding!

Whoever sees Mr. Putin next, please tell him THE ANIMALS AT THE KIEV ZOO NEED HIM!

We KNOW where Vladimir was last night!
He was hanging out with a biker gang in Belgrade, where he got box seats with them to a friendly between youth teams of the Russian Zenith club and the Serbian Red Star club.

Vlad is a Night Wolf in his spare time!

"Putin sat in the front row of the VIP seating area with the bikers on his right, and as spectators chanted his name, the Russian premier stood to acknowledge the crowd, waving and signing autographs as the cheers grew louder.

'Somehow, Putin belongs to us, to our bikers club, Night Wolves,' said Night Wolf Lenin Jovanovski. 'We respect him for what he does for Slavic people and every situation in the world.'"

He is officially a rock star.

      R.I.P. - Elizabeth Taylor

She was one of the most gorgeous women that ever lived

Elizabeth Taylor, 2 time Academy Award winning actress and iconic silver screen legend, has passed away at 79 years of age. Besides being known for her movie work and her 8 husbands, we choose to remember her for her humanitarian work in AIDS awareness and fundraising. She was a good person.

      Happy 80th Birthday, William Shatner!

      The Captain has turned 80!

We've always joked that we don't know who the hell William Shatner is but somewhere young gorgeous Captain Kirk is still out saving the galaxy.

Kudos to Bill, who has 2 hit shows on right now. "Shit my Dad Says" on CBS is a pretty funny show. He plays a curmudgeony old bastard, ala Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino...and does it very well.

His other show "Shatner's Raw Nerve" is an interview show with a wide range of celebrities. It's "hard hitting" and Bill always gets the celeb to tackle subjects he or she would never normally talk about which leads to very revealing and humanizing moments for the celebs. It's pretty good.

William Shatner is a television and acting legend. Forget Star Trek for a moment. Bill has been on so many TV shows and always kicked ass. He's got a rep for being an arrogant bastard but that's just the way he is. Never forget he was trained as a classical Shakespearean actor and did tons of movies before he ever did TV.

His acting career spans decades.. he was Ranger Bob on Howdy Doody back on the 1950's. Plus he did great guest spots on awesome shows like "The Outer Limits", "Gunsmoke" and "Twilight Zone".

Recently, he did the Emmy nominated show "Boston Legal" and he was just on an episode of "American Pickers".

Bill is a HORSE fanatic. He loves them. Back in the 70's and 80's he used to always come to Pennsylvania every year for the famed Devon Horse Show and show off his own horses. He's pretty awesome.

      Happy B'day, Bill!

Part 1 - The Great Pyramid Controversy: History of The Great Pyramid

The Omni Report presents our 3-part series on:

The Controversy and Mystery of the Great Pyramid of the Giza Plateau, Cairo, Egypt; Specifically Why Dr. Zahi Hawass Sucks and How Rudolph Gatenbrink Got Shafted.

      The Great Pyramid Controversy
      Part 1: A History Lesson

“Man Fears Time, Time Fears Only The Pyramids”
      Herodotus

The Great Pyramid of Giza was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It is the only remaining monument of the classical 7 Wonders of the Ancient World and it is pure awesome.

The only problem with the history of the Great Pyramid is the fact that we don’t know the history of the Great Pyramid! The only hieroglyphs associated with The Great Pyramid have been proven forgeries. The only other – the only other! – “evidence” is a stone carving with Khufu’s cartouche in front of the Sphinx. This cartouche is still unclear however. We do not know if it means that Khufu built or rebuilt either the Sphinx or Great Pyramid.

We’ll try to start at the beginning.

Contemporary Egyptologists including, and especially the fervent, Supreme High Commander and Pharaoh, The Big Z – Dr. Zahi Hawass, believe the Great Pyramid was constructed within a 20-year period with slave labor for a Pharaoh to be entombed in. Basically, a Pharaoh vanity project – and simply understated construction technique. 20 years of slave labor forces with Stone Age tools and no wheel. That is all.

The modern discovery of the Pyramids, as far as when it was first written about in history books, begins with Herodotus, The Great Father of History and one of the most famous of ancient Greeks. He wrote about the Great Pyramid in 440 B.C. and reported how ancient it was even in his own time!

Today we call this monument of the desert a pyramid, Greek for pyramis/pyramidos “Fire in the middle”. This is the first most overlooked, most underrated clue as to what The Great Pyramid really was.

A geographer in 24BC reported a hinged moveable door that could be raised up as an entrance on the north side. This location was lost in the first century AD and no door of this type has yet to be reported by The Big Z and his thugs.

Arabian adventurer Abdullah Al Mamun blew a hole in the Great Pyramid in 813 AD and gained the first modern entrance into the Great Pyramid in untold thousands of years. He used dynamite because he was pretty ignorant. This entrance is now called “The Robbers Tunnel” and it is the primary entrance used for tourists to this day.

      The Robbers Tunnel/Main Entrance today

It was in the 14th century that Arabs stripped the casing stones off the pyramid and used them to rebuild earthquake stricken Cairo. These casing stones were pure limestone and gleamed so brightly even at night that The Great Pyramid, for thousands of years, glowed throughout the darkest of desert nights and lit up the day like the Las Vegas strip.

Rendering of The Great Pyramid in its full glory

In 1637 British citizen and Oxford University Astronomer, John Greaves, visited and began documentation of The Great Pyramid. He was followed by Nathaniel Davidson in 1763. Davidson has a chamber named after him and is also credited with the “Cardinal Point” compass discovery. More on this in Part 2 of this series.

Then came Napoleon. And what he discovered changed the world forever.

Napoleon conquered Egypt with 35,000 men in over 300 ships in 1799. Hardly anyone knows or even cares what they did except for one thing, the day one of the 175 archeologists, scientists and geologists that Napoleon brought with him, discovered the most interesting, awesome and useful artifact ever – The Rosetta Stone.

This rock engraving contained the same text in three languages: Greek, Egyptian and Hieroglyphic. It opened the door and unleashed the whole of the Ancient Egyptian Empire whose undeciphered works had lain silent for millennia. Suddenly (actually after laborious decipherment) the grandeur and epic culture of Egypt was alive. Here, now, you could go from monument to monument and read and understand the stories!

      The Rosetta Stone

No longer had The Roman or Greek civilizations been the first and second great waves of humanity. Unlocking the hieroglyphs changed our concept of history (and now, we know of Sumer as the actual cradle of civilization). The Rosetta Stone cured our historical and cultural amnesia.

Colonel Howard Vyse came in 1837. Unsatisfied with his genuine archeological discoveries he went on to perpetrate one of the saddest, ridiculous and upsetting acts of vandalism ever committed anywhere…he defaced the inside of The Great Pyramid with Khufu's cartouche. He painted it in red paint - was caught "red handed" with the pots! He deliberatley painted the name of Khufu in the pyramid in a heiroglypic cartouche.

Unfortunately mainstream Egyptologists refuse to accept it was a forgery and hence we have The Great Pyramid aka The Tomb of the Pharaoh Khufu. Although no bodies were ever – ever- found in a pyramid in Egypt. There is only one worldwide exception - Lord Pacal’s tomb in Palenque. That's it. NO BODIES ARE EVER FOUND IN PYRAMIDS.

In the late 1800’s several astronomers came and wrote books about The Great Pyramid. The word “pyramidology” was coined in 1878.

It wasn’t until 1925 that the base of The Great Pyramid was cleared of all rubble, sand and debris. It was then that accurate measurements could be taken.

Books about the Great Pyramid have not stopped being written or printed. Easily over a dozen books a year are published regarding this greatest structure on Earth.

In the 20th century, Egypt itself began to take charge of it’s archeology creating several museums. The modern Egyptian tourist movement took off!

Today one man alone is in absolute total control of every single monument in Egypt including the most amazing archeological monolith on Earth and the most famous thing on the planet. This man is Zahi Hawass.

Saty tuned for Parts 2 and 3! Part 2 coming next Monday!

      Indian Wells: That's No Djok

What a GREAT tennis weekend it was!

Saturday's men's semifinals at Indian Wells saw Rafael Nadal vs. Juan Del Potro and then Novak Djokovich vs. Roger Federer. You can't get any better than that!

Nadal made it to the final, but to give Big Del Po some credit, he is WELL on the road to recovery and come back. Even to make it to the semi's was a great step. We're hoping good things for him at Wimbledon this year.

Rafa usually uses Indian Wells as a tune up for the French and he looked great as well. He was jumping all around and seemed back to normal after the horrible injury he suffered in the finals of the Australian Open a couple of months ago.

Novak vs. Roger was amazing. Novac has got his number and once AGAIN beat him to make it to the finals. This was the THIRD CONSECUTIVE time Djokovic has beaten Roger in match - something that would have been unheard of just a few years ago. Roger is not over, but he is definitely feeling his age and he isn't unbeatable anymore. He's not even #1. And he held that position for like 4 years straight at one point.

With that win in the semi's over Roger, Novak's ranking went up to #2. He has CLEARLY come into his own and is seemingly unstoppable right now.

On to the finals on Sunday with a delicious main course of Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovich. Indian Wells tournament plays best of 3 not 5 (which is our preferred format). NOVAK DJOKOVICH IN THREE! NOLE! NOLE! NOLE! NOLE! Nadal did decisively win the second set. The third was almost a toss up and then Novak took it! He then called Rafa the "best player in the world." Awww...who doesn't love Rafa? Look for Nadal to come out with all guns blazing for the French Open.

Novak is ON A ROLL! With this win he is 18 and 0 for 2011. He is not only playing the best tennis of his life right now, he is just playing the best tennis on the tour. CAUTION: In 2008 Novac ALSO won the Aussie Open AND Indian Wells and DID NOT WIN a damn thing after that. Let's hope history does NOT repeat. With the way he is playing right now, we doubt he would falter that badly. He'll at least make some finals rounds.

On the women's side our beloved darling Caroline Wozniaki beat the hell out of that bitch Maria Sharapova to make it to the finals where she then won over Marion Bertoli. Caroline is world's #1 and hasn't won a major yet, but this Indian Wells final is her highest/best win yet. Look for her to continue to dominate this season.

All in all, this years Indian Wells tourney was pretty awesome!

      Novak Djokovich with another win!

      Caroline Wozniaki with her trophy

Read this great article on how Novak proves that the machine known as Rafa is really flesh and blood and shows the world how to exploit a possible weakness in Rafa's game and make it possible to beat him again and again.

      R.I.P. KNUT "The People's Bear" - UPDATED

      Baby Knut in 2006

Knut, Berlin's beloved polar bear was found dead in his enclosure today.

"He was by himself in his compound, he was in the water, and then he was dead," said Kloes. "He was not sick, we don't know why he died."

A post mortem will be conducted on Monday to try pinpoint his cause of death, he said.

Between 600 and 700 people were at Knut's compound and saw the four-year-old bear die, German news agency DAPD reported."

Poor Knut! We cannot believe he just died like that. And in front of such a huge crowd. He was the cutest baby animal ever and a great "poster" boy for polar bears in general. Very sad news today from Germany.

We forgot that Knut's keeper, known as Knut's Dad, Thomas Doerflein, also died very suddenly of a heart attack a few years ago. We know they are together now on the other side.

      Knut and Thomas in 2006

      R.I.P Knut!

      UPDATE:
Knut did not go gently into that good night. HORRIFIC video has surfaced of Knut's last moments and it's gut wrenchingly awful. The ONLY solace is that his agony lasted no longer than a minute or two and then he was gone. But he did suffer. He is shown turning in circles, twitching his leg terribly and raising it up like it hurt. Then going into convulsions, and with an agonizing roar he loses control and tumbles into his pool dying. You can see the water still thrashing from the convulsions for about 5 seconds and then nothing. He didn't surface. We don't even think he drowned because the splashing didn't last for more than a few seconds. It looks like he stroked out.

Onlookers screamed in horror and then just started yelling and crying.

POOT KNUT! We are just heart broken. We don't think the zoo could have done anything. It happened too fast. One minute he was fine, the next he was twitching and then tumbling over dead. Even if they got him with a tranquilizer...nothing...it happened so suddenly. Terrible. Poor Knut!

Knut all grown up in recent picture...

There are so many pages on here already, its amazing how touched people are/were by Knut. Cut and paste some of the notes into TRANSLATOR and you'll be amazed at the nice things the German people have to say. Many, many notes are in English though. It's so sad.

      Here's an example:

      Lieber Knut,

      Dear Knut,

I am very sad that you have left us so early again. But the idea that you have returned to be with your mentor can relieve the pain somewhat.

Thank you for the many beautiful moments where you have let us participate

And there's poetry for Knut too:

      Knut,

      your fluffy white hair
      curious black eyes
      all the sweetness you have

      i won't forget.

Good night, have a nice dream sweety.

That's from all of us. Good night and have a nice dream, Little Knut, you Sweetie Bear.

      SUPERMOON

Tonight's Full Moon will also be a Supermoon. So-called because the full moon will also be the closest to Earth in 18 years. The average distance between the Earth and moon is 238,000 miles. Tonight our only satellite will be a mere 221,567 miles away.

This supermoon has been linked to natural disasters in the past. Most notably, the Asian tsunami in 2004 in which the Supermoon showed up a week later. Lo and behold, we had the worst earthquake/tsunami on record just a week ago. Coincidence?

Scientists at space.com dismiss this theory though.

We're not so sure. It's a fact that the moon affects everything on Earth especially tides, so why not "assume" that the additional drag from the closer moon wouldn't affect the continental plates, hence earthquakes and tsunami's every time it gets closer?

Regardless, this event will be watched by astronomers all over the planet. So enjoy.

The Face of Shame and Defeat

This is Akio Komiri, Managing Director of the Tokoyo Electric Power Company as he is wrangled out of a press conference where he broke down into tears finally admitting that the radiation spewing from Fukushima is strong enough to kill.

"Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted that the disaster was a level 5, which is classified as a crisis causing 'several radiation deaths' by the UN International Atomic Energy."

Sad. Sad. Sad. The entire situation is Just. Sad.

      Edgar Cayce's Birthday

Today marks the 134th anniversary of Edgar Cayce's birth in 1877.

If you've never heard of Edgar or think he's just another fake psychic, then read this post. He was THE REAL DEAL.

Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky in 1877, Edgar Cayce was raised a rural, humble God-Fearing farmboy with no more than a 9th grade education. He read the Bible cover-to-cover once a year, taught Sunday School and trained missionaries.

He was struck by a debilitating case of laryngitis in March of 1900. He was cured through hypnosis in a series of sessions in which remarkably he diagnosed his own problem and had the hypnotist induce a post-hypnotic suggestion to help cure him. It worked and also introduced Cayce to hypnosis, trance and psychic healing. Something his religious upbringing rallied hard against.

The hypnotist also suggested to Edgar that he use this trance induced knowledge to help heal other people since it was so accurate and helpful in his own life. Edgar agreed, reluctantly at first, and under the condition that it would be a free service.

His fame grew. He was bombarded by treasure seekers, businessmen and every other type of person wanting information. Distressed by this, he turned down large sums of money and instead decided to use his gift to help only the sick.

By 1925 Edgar Cayce was doing this professionally for a living. He had a secretary and a system for doing readings. He would lie down and self induce sleep. This technique gave him the epithet "The Sleeping Prophet." His secretary would transcribe everything he said verbatim and gave each reading a number. This turned out to be a great idea for in his lifetime, Cayce gave over 14,000 readings.

Edgar founded several insitutions, one of which was the Edgar Cayce hospital in 1929. Located in Virgina Beach it was funded by a wealthy recipient of a reading.

Cayce began most readings with the words "We have the body." He was in fact not so much a pyschic but a medium or a super-clairvoyant, for it seems while in the sleeping trance-like state he was able to channel from "beyond."

It is said he was able to access the Akashic Records. This is the Universal record of everything. EVERYTHING.

What made Cayce so extraordinary was that this humble christian from Kentucky was uncannily accurate in alot of things, but mostly he was able to diagnose and CURE medical ailments of all kinds.

This is what he concentrated on for years before the esoteric nature of his readings took hold. Even through the esoteric Cayce was medically diagnosing until the end of his life.

Edgar Cayce was NOT one of those psycics that says 'I see a letter C or D' 'You are due to travel soon' 'I see your grandmother. She's behind you smiling'.

He would trance out or "sleep" while focusing on a particular patient. These patients usually came in the form of mail or telegram and would state the nature of their complaint or problem. His secretary would give a patients name and location (address usually) and Cayce's voice would then start "We have the body..."

      Here's a typical example:

"8/2/32 Letter (to Cayce from Patient): "Have been suffering from high blood pressure for a number of years. Have tried many doctors and various diets without much result."

Edgar Cayce: Yes, we have the body. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the physical functioning of the organs of the body. These, as we find, are more in the nature of reflex conditions, in the disturbing of the functioning organs, but are of specific nature in their condition. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body.

First, in the BLOOD supply, this we find shows in its elementals the nature or cause of the disturbance, in the manner in which the circulation takes place; it being rather of the superficial circulation, or slower in its action in the return to the heart than in its flow from the heart to portions of the system. Hence producing in the heart's action itself a high pressure in the conditions of the system. This makes for the inability of the full or complete activities that might be experienced were there a normal coordination between the arterial and venous circulation.

In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions as we find for this body. First, we would begin with those irrigations that will relieve those pressures in the colon area throughout...."

This reading goes on and on and was voiced in 1932 by Edgar Cayce, a man without any medical training or knowledge. It's a clear example, one out of 14,000 documented readings, of the intense knowledge coming through the trance state. He's channeling a "higher power".

Admittedly, not every reading produced a miraculous cure and some people were in fact not cured. But that number is well below something like 5%. And it cannot be proved that those people followed the directions in perfect order and precisely. In either case the astonshing number of cured or healed patients is in the 95% range.

Cayce's cures have lasted through time and to this day medical doctors and scientific modern knowledege have validated many of these cures and they are in constant use today.

He was unlike anything planet Earth has ever been gifted enough to see. At least in modern times that we know of. And he documented everything after 1923.

Many letters he recieved from patients led to answers he never thought possible. The so-called esoteric themes. Many a reading came back "We have the body. This entity used to be an Atlantean. Those of that race that lived 9,500 years ago" and so forth. "This person, once lived 75 years ago in New York City."

Edgar would ask to have read back his transcripts, for he remembered nothing while under, and literally be flabbergasted at what came out of his mouth. His Christian upbringing didn't have any foundation for reincarnation or past civilizations.

      "Reading #5748-6:
Edgar Cayce: ...In those periods when the first change had come in the position of the land, when the Nile (or Nole, then) emptied into what is now the Atlantic Ocean, on the Congo end of the country. What is now as the Sahara was a fertile land..."

Geology has caught up to Edgar, as we now know, and have since mid-1950's, the Sahara region was wetter in the past.

The esoteric themes were as follows (from Wiki):

      Origin and destiny of humanity:
"All souls were created in the beginning, and are finding their way back to whence they came."

      Reincarnation:
Cayce's work teaches the reality of reincarnation and karma, but as instruments of a loving God rather than blind natural laws. Its purpose is to teach us certain spiritual lessons.

      Astrology:
Cayce accepts astrology on the basis that our souls spend time on other planets (or perhaps their spiritual counterparts) in between incarnations. The position of the planets at our birth records these influences.

      Universal laws:
Souls incarnated on the Earth are subject to certain spiritual laws such as, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap" (karma)

      Unknown Life of Jesus:
Cayce presented narratives of Jesus' previous incarnations, including a mysterious Atlantean figure called "Amilius" as well as the more familiar biblical figures of Adam, Enoch, Melchizedek, Joshua, Asaph, and Jeshua. Cayce describes Jesus as an Essene who traveled to India in his youth in order to study Eastern religions, more specifically astrology.

      Jesus and Christ:
Following New Thought precedent, Cayce distinguishes between Jesus and Christhood. Briefly, Jesus was a soul like us who reincarnated through many lifetimes.

      Ideals:
Cayce repeatedly stresses the choice of an ideal as the foundation of the spiritual path. "And O that all would realize... that what we are... is the result of what we have done about the ideals we have set" (1549-1).

      Body, Mind, Spirit:
Cayce often invokes these three terms, or their equivalents, to describe the human condition. "Spirit is the life. Mind is the builder. Physical is the result."

      Meditation:
While Cayce sometimes described particular meditation techniques of sitting or chanting "Arrr--eee-oommm" the crucial element, he believed, is that of opening up to divine influences.

      Extra-sensory perception:
Cayce accepted psychic experiences and ESP as a natural by-product of soul growth. God may speak to us through dreams (many readings consist of dream interpretation), or through intuitions similar to the pangs of conscience.

      Atlantis:
The Cayce readings spoke of the existence of Atlantis, a legendary continent with an advanced technology whose refugees peopled ancient Egypt as well as pre-Columbian America.

      Egypt:
Next to biblical times, the most significant era for the "life readings" was a pre-dynastic Egyptian civilization consisting of Atlantean refugees. Cayce purported to have been an Egyptian priest named "Ra Ta" who built a spiritually based healing center (the "Temple of Sacrifice") and educational institution (the "Temple Beautiful").

      Earth Changes:
Cayce coined the term Earth Changes, a reference to a series of cataclysm events which he prophesied would take place in future decades — notably including the Earth shifting on its axis, and most of California dropping into the Pacific Ocean following a catastrophic earthquake.

      Cayce "cures":
Cayce's medical readings typically prescribe poultices (often of castor oil), osteopathic adjustments, colonic irrigation, massage (often with peanut oil), prayer, folk remedies (e.g. charcoal tablets), various forms of electric medicine and patent medicines (such as Atomidine), and specific recommendations concerning diet and exercise. Cayce is often seen as a practitioner of holistic medicine, and has particularly strong philosophical ties with naturopathy.

      "Cayce diet":
Major dietary recommendations include the avoidance of red meat, alcohol (except red wine), white bread, and fried foods; a preference for fruits and above-ground, leafy vegetables over starches; and a high ratio (80:20%) of alkaline foods over acidic. One meal per day should consist entirely of raw vegetables. According to Cayce, two or three almonds a day keep cancer away.

      Dream interpretation:
Cayce was one of the early dream interpreters who contradicted Freudian views by saying that dreams can be of many different kinds with many levels of meaning; that lack of interest is the reason for poor dream recall; that only the dreamer knows the meaning of his dream; and that a dream is correctly interpreted when it makes sense to the dreamer, when it checks out with his other dreams, and when it moves him forward in his life

Although the 14,000 readings were documented beginning in 1923, there are over 8,000 more readings that were either lost or undocumented from 1911 - 1923.

"In fact, in their entirety, the readings discuss an astonishing 10,000 different topics. This vast array of subject matter can be narrowed down into a smaller group of topics that, when compiled together, deal with the following five categories: (1) Health-Related Information; (2) Philosophy and Reincarnation; (3) Dreams and Dream Interpretation; (4) ESP and Psychic Phenomena; and (5) Spiritual Growth, Meditation, and Prayer."

Edgar Cayce died on January 3, 1945. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The book, "There is a River", details his life. It's a great read.
