We Want to Die in Colorado

"All fled—all done, so lift me on the pyre—
The Feast is over, and the lamps expire."
— Robert E. Howard

Cremation is mankind's oldest known form of funerary rite. It's origins go back long before the biblical "dust to dust." Although burial caves have been found that date back thousands of years, it is the funeral pyre that was most common form of bodily disposal in all societies throughout time.

Outside open funeral pyres are banned in this country. You must be cremated by licensed funeral homes. However in Crestone, Colorado you have the right to a old fashioned send off.

We just love this idea.
