And in James Bond News...

Sadly, we lost composer John Barry the other day. Barry was responsible for the most famous score in cinematic history, the James Bond Theme Song, ultimately working on 11 Bond films. He also scored Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa and one of our favorites of all time Born Free. He won 5 Academy awards for his work and is hailed as one of the most prolific and talented movie composers of all time.

Born Free

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart

Live free, and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

Stay free, where no walls divide you
You're free as a roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Born free, and life is worth living
But only worth living
Cause you're born free

In good news, Javier Bardem, has just been cast as the main villain in the new upcoming Bond film. Yay!

"Say hello to the bad guy!"

He and his wife, Penelope Cruz, just had their first baby the other day. Javier was also just nominated for Best Actor for the Spanish film Biutiful, which itself is nominated for Best Foreign Film. He's having a hell of a week!

I listened to my James Bond soundtrack collection the other day in his honor.
