Christiane Amanpour is, quite frankly, our hero. She has consistently reported news from all over the world in one "hot" spot to another. She is intelligent, articulate and seemingly fearless. Her dark exotic look allows her inside access to action in all the world's dangerous spots and she strides in like she owns the place, but at the same time respectful of situation.
We just adore her. She's an icon for all strong women of the world.
Born in London to a privileged wealthy family, she spent her childhood in Iran and then was sent to England to complete her education.

"Upon becoming an international correspondent for CNN in 1990, her first major assignment was covering the Gulf War. She has since reported on and from the world's major hot spots including Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia, Israel, the Palestinian territories, Rwanda, the Balkans, and the U.S. during Hurricane Katrina. Her coverage in Cairo this past week is sure to earn her another award. We think the Courage in Journalism Award is the coolest. Maybe she can get another one or two of those!

I also love and adore her for she is the bravest of them all!! Plus she doesn't stand out in a crowd like Anderson Cooper does!! There is no doubt he is a white man(pale as a ghost)and he's standing there with a mic and camera!! I dont know whether he is brave or an idiot?? I think the latter!! LOL. RUN ANDERSON RUN!!
